I watched O"Reilly on Oprah's show tonight
after reading about here, for some reason it's on at 9:00, so i asked my 12 year old to watch it with me, she doesn't know who he is so i thought she'd be a good unbiased opinion. imo Oprah did a good job of letting Blowhole hang himself, he came off as a blowhard and conceited and self messianic? i'm sure thats not the right way to say it but i think that he actually believes he is the only standing between America and anarchy, i think he's actually beyond self delusional. Thats my take.

My daughters reaction:

She didn't understand why he was so rude to people that didn't agree with him "How can he disagree with that lady when he can't hear what she's saying?" "Why is he calling people haters" "Does he work for the whitehouse?"

1. Your daughter wins...
But, no fair, she has been blessed with what the poor Freeps are deprived of: common sense, a working BS-o-meter and XLNT parent who encourages THINKING...

2. "Does he work for the Whitehouse?"
Now THAT'S a loaded question. I don't envy you having to explain that one. B-)

4. how does that a-hole have the gall to come on someone else's show...
and talk that way to the audience? It's one thing to do that on your own show but to go on someone else's and do that...no class

5. i think he looked bad, i mean worse than he usually does
and i'm glad Oprah let him do what he does because i bet that was the first time many people have seen him in action.

8. It was a train wreck for me.
About a half hour into the interview a friend called to alert me that O'Reilly was on Oprah. I didn't want to watch cause I don't do him, but my friend said the audience was challenging him. And yes there were some that did, but there were also GOP zombies in the crowd that got to speak without being shouted down by this egoist moron.

Oprah has much to do to wash that taint from her book-selling archives.

This is not an episode to watch again unless you like train wrecks and horror films.

9. there were at least 2 very vocal "T warriors" (teabagging) and one meek
woman, her i felt bad for, she seems to need someone, anyone, Bueller? to give her some direction, there was a redheaded guy, right out of central casting for republicans thats was just a damn fool and one black guy that just loved Faux news.

13. I saw Oprah tonight and I feel sad.
I feel sad because people are still drinking the kool aid. I feel sad that Oprah appeared strained and just not her usual self. I feel sad for this country and it's future.

And I'm mad too. Oprah is just too smart to let some asshole like O'Lielly mow her down and take over her show like he did. But then, WE'RE all too smart to let bastards like O'Lielly mow us down...yet they have. :argh:

16. I saw part, and it kinda pissed me off
One, because Oprah really should have done a smackdown of O'lielly herself, instead of letting him blatantly lie, and two, because there were clearly Shitheel News Channel plants in the audience. I do not for one moment believe that the guy in dredlocks was a Fox fanatic of his own accord.

What O'Lielly was saying about the ACLU got me so steamed up I was yelling. It pisses me off no end to hear the fascists talk about how the ACLU should be banned because they are 'activist', when their activism consists of seeing that everyone gets the right to a fair trial that they are promised in the constitution.
