Just when I thought nothing could shock me, (Freeper Thread)

over in the cesspool, I find this thread, in which honest to god, all the posters are supporting apartheid. Now, granted there are only a few posts on the thread, but still. What most pisses me off is how those racist fuckheads are constantly piously spouting about how it's dems who are the racists. This is as they post pictures of buckwheat or snicker over the worst kind of racial stereotyping. They make statements about how only a racist could see anything racist in the Harold Ford Ad. They make stupid comments about how Ford isn't really black. I mean the racism on that site, the anti-Muslim comments are so blatant and out there and the congitive dissonance is so profound, that it's mind boggling, and I have a pretty high tolerance for hypocricy, recognizing as true what EM Forester said about only hypocrites not being able to forgive hypocricy. But what goes on over there isn't just garden variety hypocricy, it's hypocricy on a monumental level.

I don't, as anyone here familiar with me knows, find DU perfect, and I do think there tends to be a sort of herd mentality here, but jesus, at least what people back here isn't hate. (Well, for the most part, anyway.)

God, those people saying those things openly, make me angry. It's pointless to even as how they can have no shame; clearly their vaunted values and morals are nothing but shoddy self-righteousness and sentimental piety. They're incapable of making the connections that most 7 year olds can make.

Just pathetic.

Oh, yeah. To you lurkers: The garbled panic you're expressing there about a dem takeover is ludicrous. And most amusing. But you can always chock it up to a sign of the just around the corner, impending apocalypse. Boo.

Apartheid was the only thing keeping the peace and feeding the region, if not much of Africa.

I suspect publicity for the movie "Catch a Fire" will also encourage more reactionary pro-apartheid rehetoric from the right.

Of course something that seems to go unsaid about South Africa is NOT ALL THE CRIMINALS ARE BLACK! a lawyer at this firm went to South Africa for her Honeymoon and were robbed in Durban by a white gang posing as Australian tourists.

I don't agree with you at all. That it's acceptable to back aprtheid- institutionalized racism- and that not one person has objected, says it all.

I didn't mean that it was acceptable. I just meant that if they couldn't get that much support for it even over there, obviously there's a problem with it.

The flamethrowers would come out and he/she would be absolutely ROASTED in a matter of seconds, and rightfully so. The fact that they aren't responding in droves does not speak well for them, as you seem to think.
