...Cheney went founded the ACTA, the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, one of the key organizations in the "open conspiracy" to purge college campuses across the country of opponents of the "Conservative Revolution."

Among other things they are issuing slanderous stories and lies against any liberal professors or groups on campuses. These all come from one single sewer—Lynne Cheney who is out to crush all anti-Bush, anti-Cheney, anti-neocon thought from the universities and colleges of America, all in the name of "freedom of speech" and "academic integrity." Lynne Cheney is the one who has resurrected the ghosts of Josef Goebbels and Joe McCarthy to stalk the campuses and sprout fascism and hatred where ever possible. She is a most dangerous person.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, Inc.
With $516 million in assets1 (2004), the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the country's largest and most influential right-wing foundation. As of the end of 2004, it was giving away more than $33 million a year.

Its financial resources, its clear political agenda, and its extensive national network of contacts and collaborators in political, academic and media circles has allowed it to exert an important influence on key issues of public policy. The Earhart Foundation has total assets of $95 million (2000 IRS Form 990).<1>

Since at least 1995 the Earhart foundation has been engaged in the pursuit of publishing the collected works of Eric Voegelin. From 1995 to 2002, the Earhart Foundation issued at least twelve grants totalling at least $115,000 "for (a) research assistance and (b) general operating support to continue preparation for publication of The Collected Works of Eric Vogelin"<2>

The Philanthropy Roundtable said of the Earhart Foundation in 2004, "For 75 years, the Earhart Foundation has epitomized achievement in the humanities and social sciences. ... Harry B. Earhart started the foundation in 1929 with the fortune he made with White Star Oil Company. Among his foundation's early beneficiaries was Friedrich von Hayek of the London School of Economics, who wrote The Road to Serfdom and The Constitution of Liberty."<3>

The foundation supports free-market scholars through a network of 50 "Earhart professors" across the United States: "We find promising young men and women that we think would be ideal, not only from an intellectual but also from a character point of view, to be teachers and academic leaders in the future. And when we so identify them, we recommend them to the Earhart Foundation. They provide grants, and we continue to mentor these students as they go through graduate school." <4>

THE W. H. BRADY FOUNDATION

The W. H. Brady Foundation is a private foundation incorporated in Wisconsin in 1956. Currently, the foundation is focused on the institutional foundations of a free society: morality and public life, family and community, and competitive educational structures affecting the preservation and continuing development of Western Civilization, including the vehicles of culture and communication.

John M. Olin Foundation, Inc.


The New York-based John M. Olin Foundation, which grew out of a family manufacturing business (chemical and munitions), funds right-wing think tanks like the American Enterprise Institute, the Heritage Foundation, the Manhattan Institute for Public Policy Research, and the Hoover Institute of War, Revolution and Peace. It also gives large sums of money to promote conservative programs in the country's most prestigious colleges and universities. After Michael Joyce left to take charge of the Bradley Foundation, William Simon continued as president at Olin...(Editor's note: William Simon passed away in 2000).

CNN is horrible and the quality of their coverage continues to plummet. However, I'm guessing since Lynne Cheney used to be the co-host of Crossfire Sunday, their is some hesitation from CNN to further let this get nasty.
