nuke Alito ... nuke 'em ... let the republicans use their nuclear option ... do it and you'll regret it next November when Dems take back the Senate ...
Democratic unity ... watch out all you right-wingers ... there's a new day dawning in Demville ... we are going to roll right over you and drive you out of town ... the energy is palpable ... and very little of it has been unleashed yet ...
a sleeping giant is just starting to awaken ... the old bones are still a little creaky from their long night's sleep ... there is still a little leftover timidity ... the first few steps are still a little wobbly ...
republicans had real power for a time; now they can only control those who allow themselves to be controlled ... the prison walls have been torn down long ago but the inmates don't yet realize they're free to leave ...
the Democrats still don't understand how much power they really have ... the tide has turned; with a little effort, it could become a tidal wave ...
Democrats still lack a cohesive, coherent media strategy ... it's time to take to the airwaves and buy some TV time ... it's time to layout the case for why they're doing what they're doing ... and it's time to start laying out a clear agenda for the American people ...
for the first time since election night way back in 2004, we stand united as an impenetrable force ... activism, enthusiasm, hope and unity belong to our side now; the republicans have long since lost any ability to channel such energies ... and from this new dawn, if Party leaders understand the vibration running through us, comes a brief but powerful opportunity to build a sustaining energy ...
Democratic Party unity will be a crushing force against the republicans in November if we can stay together as we are today ... that's the challenge ... today is not a day of "you stupid lefty freepers or you republican-lite DINO clones" ... today we stand together as a united force ...
I call on our Party's leaders, and their followers too, to look to the big issues and tackle them boldly ... tackle them without fearing how republicans might react or what names they might call us ... Party leaders should get out among their constituents and fire up the troops now ... they should become more visible and lead the charge both locally and in Washington ... we need to see ourselves as a movement and not just a campaign ...
and finally, we must do a better job talking about Iraq ... if anyone believes we "can't just leave", please do a better job explaining your position ... many of us see no progress and no hope in Iraq ... we don't understand why all Democrats have not pushed for Murtha's vision or something very similar ... i hope the Party's leaders reach out to all Democrats and revisit their positions on Iraq ... we've had enough of this war that has yielded nothing but death, instability and record profits for the oil industry ...
it's a new dawn in Demville ... if we have the vision to understand events as they occur, the next weeks can be far more than a single filibuster ... let's not blow it, Democrats ... let's unleash the tidal wave that will once and forever drown the tyrants and drive their minions from the halls of power ...
