I haven't caught much of this assclown lately, but caught a few minutes this morning just to see how this weathervane was blowing. He and his hyenas were chortling as that somehow the "media" (as though they're not?) has the story built up that Haggard had special access to booosh. The douchebag obviously didn't bother to read a newspaper before he opened his pie hole and then bemoaned how this story couldn't be true and even if it was, it's being blown out of proportions.

Now it'll be fun to see what gets more "outrage"...the buying of sex? The homosexuality? The drug use? Another Charlatan has been exposed and now comes the denials and self-flagalation. This has to have Rove caught with his slime down...looks like this could be the 2 or 3 day news story he would kill for...and its about to put the coup de grace to filling up those church buses.

Gotta love the short-term memory of the corporate media. Haggard looks like he's hit the trifecta...sex, drugs and celebrity. Kerry would need to eat a live baby to recapture the attention this story appears to be gaining. Plus we also have Gibbons in Nevada all but imploding, Sweeney in New York who still won't release the police records about his wife's 9-11 call last weekend, Sherwood forking out 500k to get his concubine to keep quiet, Allen's thugs beating up Mike Stark and possibly facing charges there...and the beat goes on.

From one whose watched the Mighty Wurlitzer in action, the Kerry "gaffe" was probably one of the most obvious and predicatble displays of the goons in action. Some of us all but predicted when the story would run out of gas...especially after Kerry appologized...and now it looks like by taking himself out of the news, Kerry did the smart thing. Now the focus shifts back to the other side and Rove & Company only wish that they had to defend their boy's inability to speak English.

Here's hoping we heard the swan song of the Mighty Wurlitzer and soon it will be kazoo.

First off, I don't believe Haggard is gay. Second, he's very outspoken in favor of the anti-gay amendment in Colorado. And finally, it's just another example of how the right-wing appeals to their "base" by demonizing gays publicly and then doing very different things in private.

I do think the thread got out of control very quickly and I apologize for that.
