Catholic group on Kerry Filibuster: 'Completely Out of Touch'
To: National Desk

Contact: Brian Burch, Fidelis, 734-358-3433, bburch@fidelis.org

WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 /Christian Wire Service/ -- Upon Senator John Kerry (D-MA) announcing that he intends to filibuster the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito, Fidelis President Joseph Cella released the following statement:

“Senator Kerry just reconfirmed how out of touch he is with the American people--he launches an international filibuster against Judge Alito from the tony resort town of Davos, Switzerland when 54% of the American people support Judge Alito’s nomination.

“It certainly is bizarre for Senator Kerry to launch a filibuster while he is in the middle of an Alpine playground attending the World Economic Forum.

“I hope it doesn’t interrupt his snowboarding plans. :eyes:

“While I’m sure Senator Kerry feels right at home at the plush resort, he has only further marginalized himself as a very liberal Senator who is completely out of touch with Middle American values.

“This filibuster move has next to zero support, even among fellow liberal Senators, and is simply a political outreach effort to court Left wing groups for his 2008 Presidential bid.

bunch of motherfuckers you could ever come up against. They are in every Catholic church. These fuckers would just as soon have unwed pregnant women die on the cross for their sins, so they could watch the blood of Jesus flow.

6. Fidelis is a right wing fringe group much like Robertson's
group and James Dobson's group. It's these groups who have kidnapped the republican party.

The majority of Americans feel disgust at the open discrimination and hatred practiced by these bigots.

Apparently this group had no problems with W playing guitar and attending political birthday parties during the initial days of the Katrina heartbreak of negligence.

14. I suspect it is even more fringe than that
My guess is that it's just Mr. Burch and whatever looneys give him money through his website, as he trolls various PR/Christian wires.

Fidelis on Latest Kennedy Attack: 'Enough Already'; Senator Takes Lead in Final Efforts Planned to Destroy Alito

WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Upon learning of the latest effort by the office of Senator Ted Kennedy to sabotage the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito, Fidelis President Joseph Cella responded by characterizing the latest attack as "a new low in the confirmation of Judge Alito." Reports on Friday suggest the Massachusetts Senator has launched yet another attack on Judge Alito's integrity for allegedly failing to disclose a 2004 case on his Senate questionnaire where he, along with the entire 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, was asked to recuse himself.

"After almost two months of preparation, a week of hearings, and another week of delay before the Committee vote, you would think Senator Kennedy would know better than to serve up yet another petty 11th hour assault on Judge Alito's character. Senator Reid along with all Democrats in the Senate hoping to retain some degree of respect should immediately distance themselves from these last-ditch attacks."

The news on Kennedy's latest maneuver comes less than twenty four hours after the Senator accused Judge Alito of regularly violating his oath of office. In a speech delivered Thursday, Kennedy surprised nobody be announcing he would vote against Judge Alito, attacking the Judge for failing to live up to the Supreme Court motto of "equal justice under law."

Cella continued: "Senator Kennedy has hit a new low in the confirmation of Judge Alito and is an embarrassment to the Senate. Judge Alito has proven himself to be a fair minded impartial judge who deserves to be confirmed. Left wing Senators and groups have tried everything from ethnic slurs to character assassinations to destroy this nomination. Enough already."

13. My guess is that it is just one guy
If you look their site, it has no list of board members or such which are usual in any organization of any size, The contact info page has a PO box in Chelsea Michigan, a small town outside Ann Arbor. It seems basically a way for someone to troll for money.

15. I'm so sick of the term "people of faith"
Like there is only one faith and those who don't agree with them lack faith. It's the height of self-pride, a sin in itself.

It was like Falwell saying we need to keep on killing every terrorist killer until they are all killed.

Talk about circling.

I'm so sick of these pseudo-sanctimonious priests pronouncing moral judgments when pedophilia is still rampant in their church.

Clean up your church, father phony, then worry about John Kerry's political career.

including the 50 million or so that voted for him in 2004 . . . hmm, is "Christian Wire Service" taxable?

Edited on Fri Jan-27-06 08:18 AM by zulchzulu
Did these hypocrites dressed in royal preistly garments write their message from the Bahamas where they partake in sodomizing little boys?

Two can play this game...

Since this religious group is delving into politics, perhaps taking away their tax-free status would be in immediate order.
