I support the outing of Ted Haggard
I've stated in the past I don't support the outing of gay republicans except for those politicians in a position of power. After watching the interview of the man who was paid for sex by Ted Haggard and hearing his POV I'm more supportive than what I have been in the past.

My heart goes out to his family because they are suffering from this scandal. They didn't ask for this and I truly feel for them.

Given the fact that Ted Haggard promotes denying rights to gays on a public forum and he has the political connections to get his way, his hypocrisy should be exposed for all to see. His power to do harm to others has been considerably weakened.

2. Actually the prostitute Jones
was very good in explaining his reasons for outing him. He says these hypocrites want the best of both worlds while condemning gays.

He sure has been defanged.

3. I follow the Barney Frank Rule:
From here:

"The right to privacy should not be the right to hypocrisy. These people who want to demonize other people shouldn't be able to go home, close the door, and do it themselves."

:D

4. It's not about being gay . . .
. . . though I'm sure that will ride low with the fundies, it's all about the rot of hypocrisy that permeates the far right.

6. Let's ask the good Reverend Ted about the METHAMPHETAMINE!!!
No wonder he just seems to zip right through those sermons with boundless energy.

But remember boys and girls: SPEED KILLS!

7. I've got a question...
For purposes of conversation:

IF all or any of this, regarding the apostate Repuke Reverend is true, how much do you think his family knew or suspected and might have turned a blind eye to?

Posit: More than you might expect. After all, there are the behaviors of someone on crank. Hard to miss them, you know? Especially if you live in a western state in this day and age. After all, tweakers and their behaviors are not rare. Also, there are the secretive behaviors. Things Daddy is doing start becoming unclear and...troubling. "Where is daddy going this time of night?"

After all, there are many reasons and benefits they would stand to gain by building a wall of denial around Rev. Daddy and his behaviors.

Still, you are correct to feel for them. They did not do this and all of this must be a horror show. However, the potential for them supporting this from "their sins of omission" cannot be ignored.

Denial is still not a river in Egypt.

9. His wife and other family members knew some of this...
That's my gut feeling. Don't know about his children, though. Hard to say on that one. I didn't know until years later my favorite uncle was an alcoholic.
