Dem candidates standing in line for Bush visits
In the last days of this crucial 2006 midterm campaign, President Bush is having trouble keeping up with Democratic campaign requests for a visit from the President in their home district.

Campaigning today in Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri, the President's team is having to work hard getting to all the places where Democrats need that extra push on election day. Optimism prevails, however. An unnamed Democratic Party spokesperson stated today that the party "remains optimistic that the President will be able to maintain his usual campaign stamina. If only Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld were healthier we could be even more effective promoting the necessity of change."

2. He's coming here to Kansas on Sunday
to help out Jim Ryun in his battle with Nancy Boyda for Kansas 2nd CD. Six months ago it was solid Republican. Boyda's latest internal polls show she's ahead by 9% and the national prognosticators are calling it a toss-up.

I'm hoping that Bush's visit will rally the Democratic base and be the final nail in the coffin for Ryun.

4. My bad. Bush is coming to help Boyda and to help reelect Sebelius
and the rest of the Democratic ticket.

6. His stump speech re: Keeping Rumsfailed and Cheney
is brilliant! Just the thing to push fence sitters in our direction.
