14. Economic growth
which happens at the end of every recession. Tax revenues are up compared to the previous record low. Plus, as unemployment goes down, FICA tax revenues go up.

if folks are making less.

7. Would this be an Ad Hominem Attack?
Description of Ad Hominem

Translated from Latin to English, "Ad Hominem" means "against the man" or "against the person."

An Ad Hominem is a general category of fallacies in which a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument. Typically, this fallacy involves two steps. First, an attack against the character of person making the claim, her circumstances, or her actions is made (or the character, circumstances, or actions of the person reporting the claim). Second, this attack is taken to be evidence against the claim or argument the person in question is making (or presenting). This type of "argument" has the following form:

Person A makes claim X.
Person B makes an attack on person A.
Therefore A's claim is false.
The reason why an Ad Hominem (of any kind) is a fallacy is that the character, circumstances, or actions of a person do not (in most cases) have a bearing on the truth or falsity of the claim being made (or the quality of the argument being made).

Example of Ad Hominem

Bill: "I believe that abortion is morally wrong."
Dave: "Of course you would say that, you're a priest."
Bill: "What about the arguments I gave to support my position?"
Dave: "Those don't count. Like I said, you're a priest, so you have to say that abortion is wrong. Further, you are just a lackey to the Pope, so I can't believe what you say."

8. Health care costs are rising every year - 1 million lose coverage every year
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 01:15 PM by Beaverhausen
College tuition rose 6% last year - 35% total for the last 5 years.

Gasoline costs are "lower" only when compared to the insanely high prices they were for the past year which brought record profits to the oil companies.

Mortage interest rates are nowhere near record lows- and they keep climbing every day.

The Dow isn't higher when adjusted for inflation.

Terrorism is on the rise worldwide.

shall I go on?

9. Funny I didn't see any mention of an 8 Trillion dollar...
DEFICIT!

Or the hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq alone.

Or the loss of habeus corpus.

Or...well I think we all have gotten the idea.

Osama didn't "commit" any terrorist acts before. Did he?

Terrorists do not fear our military. They simply have a healthy respect for being so incredibly outnumbered.

There was also no mention of the industrialized world now FEARING our government more than the terrorists.

Go figure.

11. Unemployment is at a 25 year low?
Edited on Mon Nov-06-06 01:35 PM by HughBeaumont
Uh, no it's not. The Unemployment rate is cooked worse than a well-done steak. And the Bewshconomy is running at a net loss in job creation this year. Not ONCE have the job creation stats gone over the 150k monthly benchmark needed to break even this year.

The Dow's performance means shiznit for working families. a) adjust that for inflation and get back to me on that stratospheric total and b) It's only risen, what, 1500 points since 2001? Not something I'd be bragging about, especially since it's in the 5 digits and was once dropped to 4 during the Bewsh debacle.

Taxes are low? Definitely for the super rich, but the middle class and poor are getting soaked.

No terrorist attacks since 2001? DC Snipers? Anthrax to the democrats? An entire Metro area running to their cars for 2 months? Those don't count? This isn't even COUNTING the overseas attacks or the "Liquid Plot that was Not". Bewsh HAS NOT MADE US SAFER YOU IDIOTS!

Here's a new direction - HOW ABOUT CAPTURING HIM? Oh wait, then what easy target would your sheep have left to fear?

Saddam was OUR bastard. As was Osama. Just remember that. Rummy shook hands with him and armed him.

Marriage is between TWO HUMAN BEINGS OF LEGAL AGE YOU FUCK. That's the new direction, get out of the 50s.

Terrorists are CREATED as a result of this debacle and our "resolve". American soldiers and Iraqi citizens are dying at a horrid rate . . . oh wait, I forgot, Repukes don't give two shits about anyone but THEMSELVES.

12. Whatever
The Stock Market is at an all time high and 401k’s are back.
If you don't owns stock or have a 401K, you probably don't give a damn

Oil and gasoline prices are falling.
Gas was 95 cents a gallon when Clinton was president. Gas prices are now twice that amount.

Taxes are low.
If you're rich.

Revenue to the federal government has increased.
Define.

No terrorist attacks in the United States since 9/11.
We wouldn't have had a 9/11 if not for the * administration

Osama either dead or living under a rock, unable to commit terrorist acts.
He's always been under a rock. Who says he's unable to commit terrorist acts? If he's so powerful that all we have to do is take him out of commission to eliminate terrorism, why has * failed to do so? Oh yeah,

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority"

Saddam Hussein convicted and sentenced to death.

Marriage is a union between a man and a woman.
Unless you're a republican, and then box turtles somehow become involved.

Terrorists fear our military and our resolve.
How do you know? Looks like terrorists flocked to Iraq after we got there and are freely killing our soldiers. Where's the fear?

Taxes are low?
See my subject line.

Mortgage interest rates are at near record lows?
That's what always happens when people CAN'T AFFORD HOUSES.

Terrorists fear our military and our resolve?
Then why are their numbers INCREASING worldwide in response
to our actions?

Et CETERA!

Whoever made this list has a REALLY low opinion
