Where the hell does the US get off promising sanctions against another country
Edited on Tue Nov-07-06 02:56 PM by wholetruth00
because they did not elect the candidate of US choosing in their democratically held elections? What the hell are our children being killed for in Iraq if we are going to withhold foreign aid and impose sanctions against Nicaragua? Ortega was elected in an election that appears to have been more smooth and honest than our own. How can American's stand by allow this administration to do these things?

3. Bush's buddy, Uzbekistan.
Now there is a friend to be proud of.
:sarcasm:

And the list goes on and on. We support countries who support
"American interests" (whatever those are. What does that really mean?)
no matter how horrific their government is.

Been that way a long time.

4. That's Why Ortega Was Voted Out 14 Years Ago
After winning in 1984, he failed in his re-election campaign largely because the US made clear that it would detroy the economy if the Sandanistas stayed in power. People got the message.
