Same sex marriage ban heading toward defeat in AZ
Currently 52% of the votes are AGAINST the ban with 68% of precincts reporting. If this continues, the LGBT community would have it's first victory in one of these anti-gay marriage ballot measures.

Everyone cross their fingers...

4. OH please let it be so!
It hurts to see when a state votes against gay marriage...I just don't get it.

Well Arizona has made me proud but sad, but at least 107 will be defeated...it's currently winning over in nutville, Phoenix (no offense Phoenix progressives but let's face it it's Maricopa that brings Repug victories)

Much of rural Arizona has not reported in though, so not out of the woods yet.

10. It should lose - they ran a great campaign against it.
And, it's not as huge a victory for LGBT as you might think. Gay marriage is illegal here. This proposition wouldn't have affected gay marriage at all - it was just prefaced that way in hopes of gaining support. But, the opposition clearly pointed that out and also pointed out that all this proposition would do is cut benefits for the partners and children of many unmarried workers, whether gay, straight, green, purple or blue! I have a feeling the real push behind this proposition was big business - hoping to cut their health care costs.

11. hope so
But as a gay man I feel like I wasn't invited to the party tonight. So much hate in so many states, Even ones that went dem. What do we have to do to get equal rights? And what bugs me even more is that exit polls show that minorities voted in big numbers for these bigot amendments.
Wish I could be a little more upbeat tonight.
