3. Yeah, I remember it like it was this afternoon.....
Robert Novak-

Last, but not least, comes the brilliant candidate recruiting and fundraising on the part of two men – Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chairman Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) Chairman Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). And should it occur, Democratic victory will come in spite of the total incompetence of Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Howard Dean.

5. I remember, all too well...
And it hasn't stopped yet. The DLC types were wailing and nashing their teeth over the 50-state strategy, just YESTERDAY.

Without that, we MAY have won the House, barely (Emmanuel CAN count to 15), but we wouldn't have had a prayer in the senate and certainly wouldn't have had the House sweep we had tonight.

I've said it before, on several threads but I've gotta say it again:

THANK YOU, DR. DEAN!

7. My wonderful mother
who is a diehard dem, thought that about Dean.

Tonight, I made her admit that he was right, and that Joe Lieberman had done precisely the thing she swore Dean would do, and that Dean has shown through his actions that he is a TRUE DEMOCRAT.

She reluctantly admitted that she was wrong about him. It was a sweet moment.

God bless you Mom, you are a great Democrat. But so is Howard Dean, and I love you both. (But Mom, you get top billing!)

9. Dean gets a standing O from me.

But let's not forget Rahm Emmanuel, who really is a fighter and mustered up the $$$ to funnel to races no one else suspected we had a chance of being competitive in, not to mention winning. Shumer also did a credible job with the Senate races, but I think Dean's 50-state strategy really paid off in the tight Senate races and in our governorship victories.

12. Yeah, and that's all I wanted!
Dean had been out there as a prez candidate and it gave him some great experience to bring to the DNC Chairmanship.

Dean's been prescient on a whole range of issues.

13. I hope we've woken up the country club Beltway Dems.
The 50 state strategy has given us states we would have never dreamed of just two years ago. Dean did it, and I hope the sheltered Beltway Dems that had led us to loss after loss realize it.
