Montana: A Win in 3 of 5 Counties Secures a Tester Win: MSNBC

Tester's campaign was informed that Yellowstone County's vote tally won't change, but that the verification process had to be re-run.

Final answer expected by 7 a.m. EST, 5 a.m. MST, with any 3 of the 5 remaining counties going for Tester securing the win.

1. Then he's got it - the remaining county Meagher only has about 2000 people

living there - assuming about 1000 will vote and it goes 50/50 - then Tester wins no problem.

3. Tester Campaign Sounds Cautiously Confident
They seemed to be careful to say "any 3 of the 5," and they seemed to be careful to emphasize that Yellowstone first tally was expected to be confirmed.

In all of the "Tester's going to lose" hysteria on DU now, people forget we are not talking about densely populated areas. This is not Fairfax county. It is not Dade county. It's Montana where cows outnumber people in many areas. (no offense to the people of Montana I'm just sayin...)

6. Senator Byrd Will Be President Pro Tem...
... when I was up on Capitol Hill this spring, when he'd lost his wife, I told others that I could think of no more fitting way to honor Erma Byrd's memory than for him to regain that gavel.

It's going to happen. Open a window, breathe in the fresh air of freedom, and see if it doesn't smell like America to you again.

15. Count Your Blessings...
1. You're not KKKarl Rove. Think of *his* blood pressure.

2. You're not KKKarl Rove's lead criminal defense lawyer. Think of *his* or *her* blood pressure.

3. You've got good blood flow to your brain, with all that pumping. Unlike W, you could expel a pretzel without passing out.

17. Please explain this to me- CNN says different
CNN's website is showing a net of 1176 Burns votes from Beaverhead, a net of 616 votes from Broadwater, Glacier netting 186 for Burns with 50% in, and Yellowstone in a recount. Why is the MT website different?

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2006/pages/results/states/MT/S/01/county.000.html

1176+616+185. Even multiplying the 185 by 2 to extrapolate, that still ends up in only 2164 more net votes for Burns. But Tester leads by over 5,000.
