Poll question: Who Do You Think Is Making The Most Calls To Senators?
Edited on Sat Jan-28-06 05:06 PM by Dinger
I think we are, pugs are all comfy with the media bullshit. I can hear it now,"Dems are cooked, . . . We can relax, . . .
Let 'em have some fun, they're history anyway...

We'll see fuckers, we'll see.

1. Though I know there are GOP astroturf phone banks...
Where paid callers call repeatedly pretending to be a different voter each and every time.

2. I don't even think it's a "dems are cooked/we can relax" thing...it's more
they're not really emotionally attached to Alito (before he was nominated, nobody knew who the hell he was), but they know the position won't remain vacant forever if he does get filibustered. Bush still has a few more years in office, and the next guy he nominates probably won't be much different.

It's not worth sticking up for someone if you don't care who he is, personally, and you know he'll just get replaced by someone similar.

3. I believe you're probably right...
If you listen to the media, it seems like a done deal. I am praying hard this weekend (although I'm not usually a praying person) that we will all see those smug Republican grins wiped right off their pathetic faces. I can't stand their arrogance.

4. I don't know the answer to our question but I do know
that we call for our love of the constitution and "conservatives" call because they want to deny their fellow americans constitutional liberties. That is crystal clear. Isn't it quite a pathetic shame that a group of Americans would work so hard to deny their fellow citizens of freedoms which have absolutely no effect on those doing the denying.

5. Moonies - and they work for Republicans.
Moonies do most of the heavy lifting for their Freeper allies.

7. I think they didn't expect the movement against Alito
that has taken place to be as large as it has been. I'm guessing they bought into the whole MSM "It's a done deal, he's all but confirmed" bullshit. So yeah I think we got the upperhand on this one, whether or not the filibuster is successful.

8. We need to avoid getting smug ourselves. Byrd's office was badly
skewed.

9. Byrd
Bush is no longer hugging and kissing Leiberman. On his TV address today, he touted Byrd's strong support for Alito. This reminds of how my mother used to fight. When she had it in for someone, she went around getting everybody else in the family on her side and then would tell you about it. Bush is such a child.
