5. I'm with you. if any of the 41 NO votes expected against Alito vote also
vote for cloture, I suggest that removing them as elected Dem officials be DU's mission for the next 9 months.

8. It is called a PRIMARY election.
This is where you support another Democrat to take the seat away.

6. yes
a line has been drawn in the sand ...

We do not deserve to have the likes of Judge Alito shoved down our throats--certainly not by OUR Democratic representatives.

We will not tolerate one-party rule.

We will not tolerate a 'unitary executive.'

We will not put up with illegal surveillance.

We will not go back to the Dark Ages of backalley abortions.

We will not tolerate a corrupt and criminal government.

-----

This is a watershed decision. If I were a Dem senator, I'd be taking us seriously.

Not supporting filibuster is a big slap in the face to Dem supporters everywhere.

9. Yup. This is the line in the sand.
This is not merely a conservative judicial appointment, this is an attempt to create an imperial presidency. Only traitors cross that line. Every Democratic Senator that does not support the fillibuster or that votes for the confirmation is supporting an attack on the foundations of our system of government and is therefore a traitor. It's as simple as that.

11. Why make it (keep it) a Dem/Repub issue.....it should be bi-partisan
There's PLENTY of reasons Republicans shouldn't support Alito either. Don't republicans serve and uphold the PRINCIPLES of the CONSTITUTION of the United States of America also or NOT???? Senators (whether Democratic, Republican, or Independent (1)) you're either with the Constitution of the United States of America or against it.

DON'T CONFIRM ALITO!!! (Crush it however you see fit)

---------

What about checks/balances?

What's this Unitary Executive Authority? :wtf:?????

12. I haven't been this riled up since before the election.
One thing is certain, no matter what the outcome of this is,
the democrats that disappointed us are going to learn a hard lesson.
The "liberal bloggers" are a force to be reckoned with.
