Bush's Friday Night Movie Club

My partner this morning furnished me with one more proof of why I am lucky to have her.

Last night, in I guess an eerily prescient moment, I was speculating that the SPANKING of Bush's party might finally prompt Bush to fire Rumsfeld. She said no, Bush is so loyal to his loser cronies, he'll keep him around and invite him over every Friday night so they can watch <i>Dumb & Dumber</i> and cry together.

In fact, she said, after this election Bush will have to start a whole new Friday night losers' movie club, where he and Rumsfeld and Cheney and Hastert and everyone else who is now a social and political pariah in DC get together and buck each other up while coccooning themselves in a fantasy world made up of Adam Sandler, beer, junk food, and a plasma TV.

And you know what the first rule of Bush's Friday night movie club is?

No pretzels.
