Okay, when did you do your happy dance?
Right away or a while later when the reality of the win really sank in?

I did it this morning. My wife thinks I'm nuts to begin with but this morning she joined in with me. :)

 :bounce: :headbang: :woohoo:

9. I went through and looked, it is an electronic voting system there...
so there isn't much of a recount that can be done. Webb has a solid 8,000 lead and Allen is just being a dick by not conceding.

7. at about 2 am EST this morning....
when I woke up to check the results and saw how big the big blue wave really was - the house in our grasp and the senate possible

more dancing at around 5:30 when I heard that the Senate MORE than possible

and again at 7:30 when I heard that even the NH state legislature (senate and house) went blue along with BOTH their reps

I'm in Mass but that was a jawdropper to me!

oh yeah - I did a mini dance when the race was called for Deval Patrick for MASS gov at 8:01 after the polls closed at 8:00 - THAT was a no brainer!

10. We high-fived when McCaskill won..
Once we had Missouri, knowing that Webb and Tester were ahead, we started the real celebration.

Yeah, it might have been pre-mature but what the hell.

Our district here in Indiana also sacked Bushbot and Human douche-bag Chris Chocola last night. I had a strong sense that Count Chocula was going down, byt the margin of Donnelly's victory was impressive for a VERY marginal district.

We finally called it a night (morning?) at 4:30am

15. I didn't.
While I'm very happy for the rest of the nation, I'm sad that my state didn't participate in the blue wave.

I'm stuck for another six years with a whiny, incompetent Republican who won't represent a thing I'm interested in.

I am also saddened by all the misrepresentation of my state that is being expressed on this board.

Tennessee isn't any more racist than any other state - our issues are that we have no alternative media and we have a whole lot of people who simply will not vote for anyone other than a Republican - and we have to work on changing that, somehow.

We're not inbred hicks. We're not stupid and we're not overly racist.

The positive here is that we have a Dem governor, a Dem state congress and a black man won 48 percent of the votes for US Senate in the Southern state.

And every time more good news was announced, I did another little dance. With all this good news I'm getting a little tired! *doing a happy dance now* :bounce:

18. This morning.
There was this very upset woman on her cell phone at the coffee shop. She, given half of the conversation, was talking to a democrat and she herself was a republican, and she was chewing out the other person on the phone for gloating. So I started laughing and told her to get over it, then did a happy little dance out the door.

I involuntarily screamed out loud with glee when I saw the troll go by on the TV --- was unfortunately on the phone on important business (with a big time R).

How bad Webb lost by...

What a pleasant surprise I had. Pelosi's mandate made me cry at my desk. It really has made my day.

I feel as though we are getting our country back! A face of sanity has returned to lady liberty and that this nation is not doomed to some Orwellian nightmare.

I guess it took that long to sink in.

I was in the grocery store when I heard someone say "Rumsfeld quit!" and decided to blow the budget on a bouquet of flowers.

24. about 9:15pm pacific time when returns showed Tester, Webb and McAllister leading
Up to that point, CNN had been pushing the "run the table" meme, as in, "For Democrats to retake the senate, they need to run the table and win 3 out of 4 seats."

Then they showed the returns, and my brain just flashed "that's 3" and I started my happy dance with a whoop - which was joined at various times by my wife & overenthusiastic son.

26. Right after our polls closed at 8 pm.
I live in Oregon, so many of the races across the country were heading towards a Democratic win by then anyway. Plus, our local media called the gubernatorial race just after the polls closed for our Democratic incumbent Gov.
