Dr. Dino Kent Hovind is a tax evader

More great news on top of the elections and Haggard (I'm in Colorado Springs...Haggard has been gigantic news here). Kent Hovind, otherwise known as Dr. Dino, has been convicted of tax fraud. Hovind is one of the top debaters in the country on the creationist side. He is also a dishonest, ignorant, little weasel. This last week has been one of the best of my liberal life...and Hovind is gravy...he's a bastard.

I love this part: "Kent Hovind said he and his employees were workers of God and therefore exempt from paying taxes. He paid his employees in cash and did not withhold their taxes or pay his share as an employer."

3. I have hope again

I'm starting to feel with the events of the last few weeks that just maybe the long nightmare of the "Religious" Right wave has finally crested. It will be awhile before sanity returns (we're nowhere near a renaissance yet) but I get the feeling that folks have finally had enough of their ignorance and hypocrisy. Except for the anti-gay bigotry it's starting to look like a civilized country again. When the Hovinds and Haggards are exposed for what they are it can only be a good sign.
