Anyone have victory songs to share?
Here's one, inspired by the end of the South Park movie:

Everything worked out in the end
America is now free again
So lets all join hands and celebrate this day! (Good Lordy, I'm fine!)

Don't you know our little lives are now complete?
Cuz Democrats are sweet! (Super sweet!)

Thank God we live in this quiet, little, left-wing, bleeding-heart, cheese-eating, tree-hugging, VW-driving, granola-eating, liberal, Democratic, kick-ass...

U...S...A!!!!

(fireworks explode, whale jumps out of water, Kenny goes to heaven and gets 72 virgins)

2. Brand New Day
Everybody look around
'Cause there's a reason to rejoice you see
Everybody come out
And let's commence to singing joyfully
Everybody look up
And feel the hope that we've been waiting for

Everybody's glad
Because our silent fear and dread is gone
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Everybody be glad
Because the sun is shining just for us
Everybody wake up
Into the morning into happiness

Hello world
It's like a different way of living now
And thank you world
We always knew that we'd be free somehow
In harmony
And show the world that we've got liberty

It's such a change
For us to live so independently
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Everybody be glad
Because the sun is shining just for us
Everybody wake up
Into the morning into happiness
Hello world
It's like a different way of living now
And thank you world
We always knew that we'd be free somehow
In harmony
And show the world that we've got liberty

It's such a change
For us to live so independently
Freedom, you see, has got our hearts singing so joyfully
Just look about
You owe it to yourself to check it out
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?
Can't you feel a brand new day?

Edited on Wed Nov-08-06 09:32 PM by jeffhoo
to the tune of "caroline no"

Where did your long hair go
Where is the girl I used to know
How could you lose that happy glow
Oh, Katherine no

Who took that look away
I remember how you used to say
Youd never change, but thats not true
Oh, Katherine you

Break my heart
I want to go and cry
Its so sad to watch a sweet thing die
Oh, Katherine why

Could I ever find in you again
Things that made me love you so much then
Could we ever bring em back once they have gone

7. yes, heard one last night that brought me to tears
at my 8th grade g.daughter's fall choir concert....

It was called Resolved...by P. Wolfe White

This song spoke of equality between peoples
And about the Bill of Rights
About gov't OF the people, BY the people, and FOR the people...

all the various choirs sang the song together...from middle school to high school, to swing, to girl's ensemble, boy's ensemble...109 voices altogether...and it was a simply glorious song to have become familiar with on this particular election day...

IF I can get a copy of the words, I will post it here...
