everyone will be pointing out how important it will be for the Dems to be cooperative and conciliatory and collegial, and not hold grudges about things like extended voting to force Bushoid bills through, or forcing Dems to hold hearings in basement storerooms, or, or, or...
We should just make nice and be friendly and not make any waves because, after all, we didn't win as much as it was the GOPukes who lost (and only because of Foley, by the way).
Well, screw that bullshit. We are STILL in the fight of our lives to save this Nation and the fact that we managed to claw a razor-thin victory giving us power in both the house and senate (though there we will actually have to depend on Jomentum--thanks so very much Connecticut) doesn't mean a thing to the people who have supported Bush's blood thirsty and anti-poor and middle class policies from the outset.
Celebrate today, and then get back to work. We've got a long road to go before we can restore sanity and decency to the Beltway.
