Dean AND Rahm Emanuel Both Deserve Credit. It's Sickening How Many DU'ers
need to tear one down in the belief that you're building up another.

Both men worked their asses off. And both helped lead us to victory.

And for anyone who takes a Mediawhore story and posts it here without an ACTUAL QUOTE IN CONTEXT from either gentleman... please think twice.

Many DU'ers who think they're savvy end up getting played by Mediawhores tyring to split the party and shape the agenda.

Rahm Emanuel is no freaking 'moderate' when it comes to an agenda though he uses that appearance AS DOES DEAN.

for future victories. Hats off to all three men and those who have supported them. :patriot:

3. I give the "credit" to millions and millions of Democrats, Independents,
and yes, even some Republicans, out in the fields, the factories, the streets and town halls who finally said "Enough!" I don't see the majority in this country as having followed anyone, I think that they led...

5. THEY are political animals too
We shouldn't sit idly by and let them manipulate the agenda and set the groundwork for a Hillary steamroll either. That's what Rahm and Schumer are doing and have been doing for a while now. Maybe you're good with that, and that's fine too. But others aren't and are going to fight it and I'll join them. I don't want Hillary as the primary candidate. Election 2008 has begun. That's just the way it is.

24. He said he's behind Hillary
Many many times. Everything you're seeing right now is the Clintons trying to reclaim control of the entire Dem apparatus. From Lockhart and McAuliffe on the teevee to moving the party to the center for her Presidential bid to moving Dean out of the way.

7. Sorry, but Rahm Emanuel is trying to kick some "liberal"
democrats to the side. He's splitting the party with his rhetoric. He's the one coming out and calling fellow democrats names and saying in effect we won't get our "agenda" whatever that means. Be sick at me all you want to.

14. Only on DU......
do we revel in our win while kicking ourselves. This is why it's so hard for us to win. This is why the shit in this country got so deep before the tide changed. In politics all is not what it seems. That is how the game is played. If you don't play.....you can't win and you can't change the tide.

Some are 'acceptable' and other's are 'no better than a Freeper'. We will need a more cohesive message next time so we would be smart to start now. But we'll waste most of our time infighting here. :(

26. Sometimes, comments like Rahm's get a reaction.
In fact, it would be unnatural if it didn't. But you don't blame the people the offending comment was directed to for reacting to it. He's seeking influence and power in order to push HIS agenda.

They all get credit. Dean says that himself every chance he gets. I only speak up when one person is claiming it for himself.

25. No. Many of us bit our tongues and didn't engage in in-fighting...
...because we were past the primaries and we were focused on the big picture for the larger good. Well, we've suffered insults and a couple of horrible candidates (not mentioning any names) and now that the election is over we have an obligation to speak our minds.

Rahm and a few others have made statements that they wish to run Liberals out of the party, and I'll be damned if I'll shut my mouth over that.

27. How 'bout this, Brent Bozzell was just on CSPAN preaching hate
from yesterday at the National Pres club, and all that douche bag had to say was "Pelosi Democrats" and tried to brand us as the party that fucked up.

HE and his ilk are the ones who need a thumpin, not Rahn and our leaders.

Redirect you venom toward the Right where our enemies really are.

30. Why don't you demand the same from Rahm Emanuel?
Why don't you grind your friggin teeth and roll your friggin eyes @ Emanuel for attacking the base of the Democratic Party? Why don't you tell Emanuel to redirct his venom toward the repukes where our enemies really are?

Chew on this if you will. Why does the republican party publicly respect their base? Why do some Democratic leaders publicly disparage their base? Answers: The republicans created their base and therefore control their base. The Democratic base is made up of informed Liberals who are motivated to create positive change--no one controls the Democratic base.

Emanuel, Steny Hoyer, and a few others are trying to purge the party of the base and that is alright with you? Phuck that, I'm not going anywhere and I will fight for my party--against the pukes and against those attempting to take over the party.

Or did you intentionally write an unintelligible post?

You don't know how to state your case so you pull stuff out of your arse and then resort to name calling. Gee, I'm honored to be a part of your "purge". But before you put me on ignore, picture me making a lewd hand gesture at you--purge that.

Both men led this party to victory. Many, many others worked their asses off as well. This blue tidal wave was a brilliant group effort. And I, for one, am still celebrating.
