Nobody ever points out that he was the third-string quarterback on a UVA squad that was one of the worst teams in the country. He sucked!

13. It was barely above the club level

I actually think that he was 4th string. Back then UVa games were an excuse to extend the Friday night binge into Saturday afternoon and most people would rather have been up in the stands not holding your helmet on the sidelines.

I have heard (from him) that he was academic all ACC but I also understand that they only put him into games that had been over for some time. Basically he was free labor (not a scholarship so why ask him to leave) but they didn't want him going out there and embarassing his father.
