I could tell that we would get the House after several House Republicans, some of whom I never imagined would get knocked off, started getting knocked off but the Senate races were a real nail-biter, at least the ones in Missouri, Montana, and, of course, Virginia. I would've been satisfied just taking back the House but winning the Senate just sweetened the pot even more. Also, the Democrats re-took the House here in Indiana, which (hopefully) promises to make "Not-OUR-Man-Mitch" a little more accountable as well. Since he was elected in 2004 with a Republican "rubber stamp" legislature, has been running Indiana almost like how Bush has been running the rest of the country, which is to say just how HE (and Cheney) wants it run. I guess now Bush and Mitch are going to actually HAVE to work with the Democrats instead of ignoring them if they hope to accomplish anything worthwhile.
