(i try to sound republican when calling them--talking about how true republicans wouldn't want alito on the court because he will vote to give government more control over our lives, not less; he will not protect our rights to privacy; supports unitary execuitve theory where bush would control the military and he could order the military to take our guns away if he wanted to and wipe out our second amendment rights. where is the republican party my parents knew? i want you to vote NO for cloture and let the democrats filibuster or whatever it is they think they want to do--but i don't want alito on the supreme court)

the above are my republican counter talking points

just for the record--my parents knew a republican party but they were NEVER a part of it. and i don't have a gun. i hate guns.

be nice to the switchboard--they seem very nice

3. I'm on it now!
Thanks!

I'm also going to say I don't want the rules changed to eliminate debate in The Senate. Let the Filibuster proceed!

And ~

Don't let yourself become irrelevant! Guard carefully your constitutionally granted rights and power to balance and oversee the Executive Branch. If Alito is confirmed, more power and control will be handed over to the pResident. (You don't really think he needs MORE, do you?)

(Recognizing it may not be beneficial, I will struggle mightily to suppress my sarcastic tone)

That was written on April 21, 2005.

(i'm totally wiped out!)

i called 99 senators tonight

(not frist)

THREE democrats had room on the voicemail

THIRTY THREE republicans had room on their voicemail

what does this tell us?

IT TELLS ME THAT WE'RE WORKING OUR ASSES OFF HERE!!!

(call these senators and tell them to vote no on cloture/dem or repuke: alito should not be on the court! but hey--WE already know that!)

8. I wonder what time they empty those 'full' voice mailboxes...
I've been having to email and fax instead of leaving messages.

update: CHAFEE's is now full.
