3. It doesn't matter!
What matters is all the Dems who came together to make it happen. That's ALL that matters.

Are we that immature that we can't muster the grace to credit both men for a job well done?

Apparently not.

Come on folks. We won. We the Democrats, Dean, Emanuel, Dean supporters, Emanuel supporters, etc., WON. Stop tearing our party apart.

10. I agree. However, from what I am seeing, the DLC is trying to
position themselves as the faction that won us the election. But it was Dean that took the Democratic Party to the 50 states, not Emmanuel. And THAT is what won the election.

Just sayin'.

12. Gee we aren't making Big PR Noise for Emanuel to get fired.
As usual, the corporate asshats make their move and when we say 'hold on there' the chorus starts moaning about how we shouldn't be fighting. Carville threw a punch, jabbed the progressive wing right in the nose. He started it. We will finish it. Thanks for not getting it at all.

8. For an example of how Emanuel ran the DCCC
go look at what he did to Carolyn Shea Porter, who won NH CD-1 despite being ostracized by Emanuel. If anyone here wants more of that bullshit, they should sign right up for the We Love Hideous Gnomes Like Carville DLC/New Dem fan club. Fuck these clowns.

Who exactly appointed Carville head of anything?

15. They're the "deciders". Get it?
Somehow. They. Just. Are.

:eyes:

We are divisive if we disagree.

Why must we protest a naked, corporate
take-over of a populist movement in our
country.

Lay down and get *ucked, people.

Jeez!

17. From what I saw on the internet
She ran a true to life, people powered, grassroots campaign. She doesn't owe the DCCC shit and she owes her seat to the people that elected her.

21. That is the upside.
The downside was that she ran on 50,000 while her fundaloon asshat opponent Bradley had 500,000. That should never happen in a swing state like NH.

I see it as an upcoming "Berniefication" or an upcoming "Russification" of the election process

19. It was certainly a factor!
So was Rahm Emmanuel busting his ass. So was the effort of thousands of precinct workers doing GOTV. Plus, we had some pretty decent candidates too!

Oh. There's that whole Iraq thing too.

I'd give Emmanuel a tad more. But the powers that be better not leave out Dean. He made us competative in every state.

I'm getting sick of the credit grabbing in general actually. And I appreciate that Dean isn't doing it.

26. Unfortunately, it was a 49 and 1/2 state strategy.
Here in Arkansas, Dems swept the statewide offices, which is great, and I have to assume that the DNC had something to do with that.

But the national party was nowhere to be seen in the sole national-level campaign -- for U.S. Congress for the Third District. The Dem challenger, an able and feisty fellow with lots of credentials, had to compete against the doofus GOP incumbent all by himself. The district is dependably Republican, so he maybe he never had a chance, but it would not have hurt the party to at least make some EFFORT to support him. Arkansas's other three districts, both senators, and the incoming state leadership is all Dem, so it's not like the state is hopelessly GOP.

IMHO, we lost a good chance to pick up this seat because Dean's 50 state strategy (for this campaign, at least) onloy extended to 49 states.
