Bushco Machiavellian plot for 2008?
Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 02:41 PM by Strawman
Rumsfeld resigns, Bush 41 boys come in, Cheney resigns, Rove is ousted. Like the end of a Godfather movie. I can just imagine hearing James Baker telling someone to "take the canoli" after handing someone their prewritten resignation to sign (kinda like Nixon had his cabinet members prepare in advance for him).

Michael aka (Jeb) is nominated for VP. Meanwhile Fredo (aka George W.) goes on the political equivalent of that infamous fishing trip and steps down so Jeb can run in 2008 as an incumbent.

This constitutes wild speculation and political fiction of course. I don't believe it, but it's kinda interesting to think about since you can't categorically put anything past these people.

1. Jeb won't be nominated for VP now.
He'll run as VP with whatever sacrificial lamb the GOP chooses for 2008, some fundy nightmare or a so-called moderate, either of whom will be defeated.

They want Jebbie to run in 2012 after they've blamed Democrats for 6 years for everything Stupid has done to fuck this country up.

if Cheney resigns, only someone with no ambitions whatsoever would consider taking the VP job given the taint and fatgiue associated with this adminstration that comes with it. Although the prospect of running as an incumbent if Bush resigned later might be something to consider for someone with less obvious ties to Bush. But it couldn't possibly work for Jeb.
