Violence is their preferred method for settling differences, just like it is with any group of knuckledraggers. And they make the mistake common to their sort that anyone who does not want to settle disputes with violence (which is, in reality, no settlement at all) is therefore afraid and will be overcome by their violence.
On a side note, isn't it interesting how the "failed" social experiments of the two parties turn out? When Reagan emptied the asylums, we got loonies like Mr. Castagna. When Democrats instituted the "failed" social experiments of social security, millions of elderly persons avoided living out their days in dependence and penury. When Democrats declared the "failed" war on poverty before it was ended during the days of Reagan, millions of people became self sufficient and responsible for their own welfare. When the Democrats began meddling with the class system (which doesn't exist in the United States) by opening the opportunity to go to college to more people during the second half of the 20th Century, millions of people took advantage of the opportunity to better themselves and get ahead in the world. Of course, some folks decided that enough was enough, and that the ingrained privileges of wealth needed to be protected against too much mobility, and through the active connivance of folks who took advantage of affirmative action only to slam the door behind them (Uncle Clarence Thomas for one) ended that as well.
