Any Bets on When Cheney Will Resign?
Now that daddy has taken over the reins,

Cheney can't be a very happy camper. He's been relegated to the back burner now...he must be mad as hell.

Hide all the shotguns!

1. As soon as * decides who he wants to run for Pres in '08
The fill-in Veep will be the frontrunner. Bush could see himself as a kingmaker, so who will it be?

7. I'm betting January 2009.
I really don't think he's going anywhere. But hey, I didn't think we'd capture the Senate either, and I didn't think Rummy would be going anywhere either, so what do I know? ;)

8. Not soon enough. I believe Vader is in fact melted, from the legs up,
replaced by disney animatronics, dipped in tar, and then commits suicide by removing his hat.

I think I could live with that.

9. As soon as Poppy decides who should be Vice President
Junior would undoubtedly want to nominate his girefriend, but I can't see Poppy going along with that. Poppy is going to want to put somebody in that position who actually has a chance of winning in 2008 -- and supporting the Carlyle Group.

15. When they no longer tell him where the undisclosed location is located?
Anyhow, my bets would be on Spring 07, ostensibly for health reasons. Otherwise he may weather the storm and tough it out to the end.

Remember he will have access to very sensitive and select information that could serve him quite well, in any post V.P. dealings.

16. I think Cheney is living in a violent kind of raygun dementia
he has no link to reality whatsoever.

He sits in his bunker, swilling tumblers full of scotch, armed to the teeth and threatening to blast the face off anyone who gives him any shit.

Bloated and pale in his photo ops on Wednesday's photo ops..real bloated, I thought.

19. "Mr. Sunshine" is already out ... it just has not been announced yet
It is part of the Iraq Study Group that there be no dissenters to the recommended action to be taken. NeoCons have been distancing themselves from Bush since before the election, they saw this coming. When Rumsfeld took the header, Uncle Dick began making plans to vacate the premises. But he knew earlier, so the shredding trucks were there to help him "clean up" before leaving town.

We won't have Shotgun Dick to kick around any more, in just a little while.

22. Why should he resign ~ he and Poppy are buddies

I've read on DU several times that Cheney and Poppy met at the WH in a just the two of them meeting on the evening before 9/11.

What were they talking about ~ convenient that GW was out of town and getting ready to read My Pet Goat.
