The Long Uphill
This election was supposed to be a referendum on the war and corruption and yes, the dishonesty of the current government. Many all across this great nation canvassed, telephone, voluteered, and whatever else they could do. The groundswell took on a force of its own and would not be deterred in the face of voter intimidation and bad, unflattering or dishonest reporting by the mainstream media. And finally, it was enough to sweep both the House and Senate in what could only be rightly called a repudiation of current policy. We were all told by so called moderates in the party we all must vote DINOs into office because we would have subpoena power and could hold the administration and their enablers in congress accountable. And so it was done. But now we are told it was'nt necessarily a referendum on policy. We are told it was a referendum on the "liberal" elements of the democratic party because some of the freshmen democrats were moderate (read conservatives). Now we are told we must be held back. This is about people wanting a change for their agenda. Justice and the constitution have to take a back seat we are told because the American people elected democrats for "bi-partisanship". Who's buying? I'm not. Evidently some of the same forces that have had influence in the republican party have some in the democratic party also and are determined to slow down the "liberal" extreme elements (read those seeking redress and correction). This is going to be harder than some of us thought.

1. The elections
were the bell for the first round. We're here for the championship. It's going to be a long, tough fight.

"If the way which, as I have shown, leads hither seems very difficult, it can nevertheless be found. It must indeed be difficult, since it is so seldom discovered. For if salvation lay ready at hand and could be discovered without great labour, how could it be possible that it remains neglected by so many people? But all noble things are as difficult as they are rare."

2. Long, tough is right.
I can't help but feel progressives are beginning to have their "Et tu, Brute" moment.
