Congratulations, Joe. The operation was a success – your backbone has been totally removed.

Last week, I watched Al Gore try and save us from a total descent into fascism, and today I watched you in all your gutless splendor stick a knife in his back.

How DARE you call yourself a Democrat – how dare you. Words fail me, and thousands upon thousands of REAL Democrats, as we watch you destroy our own party from the inside, What was the quid pro quo, Joe? Is George going to let you rub his head tomorrow? Will he call you “curly” or some cute little nickname that makes your loins tingle? Is that White House lunch date for the Republican Party’s favorite Democrat just over the horizon?

I was born and raised in Connecticut, Mr. Lieberman, and I have not been back for a good long time. But – and take this to the bank – I will return for the 2006 primary season. You’ll know me – I’ll be one of the thousands who will be there to make sure your primary opponent takes your sorry ass out back and beats it like the proverbial rented mule. I will knock on doors until my hands hurt, and I will talk until my voice gives out. There will be a REAL Democrat in the Senate come 2007.

I’ll bring you a coat hanger that you can hang on your wall in remembrance of women’s rights, and a full scale mock up of a 10-year so you’ll know all the good places to strip search. I’ll call you on the phone and make clicking noises – the same ones myself and millions of other truly patriotic Americans will hear when Sammy Alito declares that “whatever Georgie wants, Georgie gets”, and I’ll send you a book by Pat Robertson. You’ll LOVE the “if you’re not Christian you’re not going to heaven parts” – boy, wait ‘till George lays THAT on you. Surprise, surprise, surprise.

I look at Al Gore. I look at you. One of the two fills me with pride. The other disgusts me. I’ll bet even you can figure out which is which.

It's important to make sure that the Dems wins if that happens though to avoid the "I told you so's"
