Look on the bright side- we have TONS of DRY POWDER!!!!

We "saved our energy" for "the battles to come" and we did not "confuse the swing voters." But most important of all, we did not get water in our powder puffs!

Please help me come up with some more comforting talking points.

Here is one I'm working on, but perhaps you all could fine tune it:

"The same polls that showed the Americans supported invading Iraq said we HAD to give in on this too- can ya blame us?"

"I'll See YOU in my dreams!"

8. Let them know how you feel
They think, now that the vote is over, that people will take their little balls and go home. Call, write, fax, gripe, and tell them NOT ONE DIME, NOT ONE CHECK, no more campaign donations for YOU! Do it today, do it tomorrow, or do it next week, but do it. Don't let them off the hook. If you are on their donor list, tell them you want OFF IT. NOW.

I vote with my wallet, and we all should, and let people know WHY they get the check, and why they don't. No ifs, ands, or buts about it...

I'm with you- remind them regularly, well into the coming years that this day actually did matter.

Long after all the precious swing-voters and poll-takers forget, I will not have forgotten.

13. I've heard this "saving our energy" crap before.
In fact, I've heard it more than once. It's bullshit. It means nothing when the fight never comes that they think is worth fighting.

When you are an opposition party, EVERY fight is worth fighting.

They aren't just fighting for our party, they are fighting to protect our democracy. Methinks some Democrats don't realize that or don't want to face them facts.
