1. I don't think Franken is leaving Air America. He's just going to Iraq.

2. For a second I thought you were urging Jello to run against Coleman...
...but yeah I would listen to a Jello Biafra radio show.

12. That'd be cool!
I'm not sure if the rest of Minnesota would go for it, though.

5. But Jello is funnier.
Anyone could beat Norm Coleman, I'd suspect. I have kin in Minnesota. They hate the guy.

9. Steny Hoyer is way more liberal than Murtha. This is Democratic Underground,
Edited on Sat Nov-18-06 05:34 PM by NYCGirl
NOT Green Underground.

Edited to add: You might want to read the rules here especially this one:

Who We Are: Democratic Underground is an online community for Democrats and other progressives. Members are expected to be generally supportive of progressive ideals, and to support Democratic candidates for political office.

15. "and other progressives... generally supportive of progressive ideals" includes Greens
Not sure what was deleted but the pull quote from the Rules indicates that "Democrats and other progressives... generally supportive of progressive ideals" (including Greens) are welcome here. Democrats, "other progressives" and Greens may all "support Democratic candidates for political office."

DU needs to quit demonizing Greens and start building the progressive coalition that will win the next Presidential election.

16. The original post said that we should be voting Green. I believe that's against
DU bylaws.

8. Democrat or not, Biafra knows his stuff.
I've got a 3+ hour DVD of one of his spoken shows, and he seems to use very few (if any) notes.

13. I'm an anarchist and radical
I support many democrats, just not the ones you like. I like John Edwards. My faves are Maxine Waters and the great Henry Waxmon.
