1. Oh puhleeze!

Ten years from now you won't remember Bush's approval numbers on January 30, but you'll sure be well aware of the results of his Supreme Court picks. There is no "up" about this. Bush could be impeached tomorrow, and if Alito is on the bench, he'll just vote to reinstate him.

I repeat, I see no "up" to this. Thanks for trying to make us feel better though.

When are some of you good, well-meaning folks out there going to realize that NOBODY CARES!

Bush could be at 20 percent approval -- you'd be happy -- but neo-fascists, by definition, couldn't care less about public opinion.

In fact, my observation is that the lower Bush goes in these polls, the faster he and his gangster pals hurry to consolidate their power.

There's entirely too much emphasis on polls that Bush doesn't let change his fundamental strategy, as opposed to elections. The social security reform didn't die because Bush had low polls, it died because there's an election coming. If the repugs get past that, Katy bar the door.
