Why are Bush's only wounds self-inflicted? How is the Dems
can't lay a glove on him?

After a while, it goes beyond monopolization of the media by the right, the threats of Karl Rove, or Red State voters.

Sometimes it looks like they are taking dives, like professional wrestlers or the Washington Generals, that team that plays the Harlem Globetrotters.

It's no wonder Bush isn't worried about the wiretap issue, torture, or any of his other crimes--the opposition party is not going to demand that he be held accountable.

Sure the Democrats will make some noise, but it's like the Generals dribbling the ball just long enough for Curly to steal it.

1. That is true and a tragedy for all of us. What can we do as far as a
viable third party. No more ABB AnyBody But Bush that got us the turncoat Kerry who took an obvious dive in 2004 and only acts like a Democrat when Bilderberger/Skull and Bones allows him to instead of the bantamweight fighter Howard Dean who should have been our candidate.

4. The "glove of truth" is not laid on by anyone. It lays itself. But,
you are right in the sense that the "glove of truth" or maybe even the "glove of reality" will eventually rain down upon their stupid and greedy heads in a mighty torrent. Nature punishes the greedy and stupid. It's against her survival rules.

5. Not true. Reality has arrived because brave comedians and
bloggers punched through to the truth and discarded the myths.

7. Jon Stewart has more gonads than our elected representatives, which is
pretty sad.

9. His job is hard - but less complicated than that of elected reps. He
has the floor. Dems do not.

3. Eventually, the Republican's power will fall due to the sheer
rottenness of their regime. But, their downfall will be in no way due to any Democratic Party influence. The Dems that voted against cloture today are the smart ones, simple as that. There will be a day in history when having one's name in the AYE column in the cloture vote will be a disgrace, known to ALL. They sold America out for who knows what.

8. a lot of votes like that in the last couple of years, 2002 should be
guide for who to vote for in 2006--see who was right when it was dangerous and unpopular.

Gee, I seem to recall the Iraq war vote sailing through with nary a discouraging word. The filibuster against Alito picked up 25 votes, even in a "hopeless" cause.

John Bolton doesn't have a permanent ambassadorship to the UN.

The centerpiece of Bush's political capital spending campaign last year was social security reform. Did a secret vote go through on self-writing legislation and I missed it, or was that campaign a miserable failure?

It hasn't all been one way in the last 12 months. Don't let the media talking chuckleheads dupe you into thinking that it has been.
