Not once has he ever represented the interests of more than 1 or 2 percent of the population.

I wonder if it was also 30% back in 1864?

Bottom feeders? Intellectually lazy? Complete followers? Still buying into the delusion that Bush is a "Christian"? Take your pick.

13. Anyone who doesn't believe in UFOs is stupid.
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 12:33 AM by TahitiNut
There are many apparently flying objects that people see but aren't able to identify. Hell, most people can't even identify the varieties of trees in their neighborhood so it just shows how arrogant people are that 70% think all flying objects are identified.

:dunce:

25. Thank you - I was going to say the same thing.
No one said a UFO is a saucer from outer space! It's UNIDENTIFIED... which, of course, means we don't know what the hell it is. It could be a plate tossed by an angry housewife, for all we know.

100 percent should believe in UFOs because we KNOW there are flying objects out there that aren't identified - but maybe only 30 percent believe they're from outer space.

:hi:

24. Yes, I heard that Saturday
holding a sign at the local weekly peace vigil. It floored me that people could still, after this has been refuted for years, believe blatantly false information.

10. Brownshirt mentality.
They are gullible, as were the original brownshirts. And just like the original bownshirts, they followed their leader right off the cliff. If they had had their way and kept Congress, the country may have been in ruins in five years, just like Germany.

They are loyal to their party, not their Nation, as were the first brownshirts. They don't like to question authority and like to be told what to think. They like to be told things that support their world view. Anything that challenges their world view is "evil and traitorous." They lack critical thinking ability because they are lazy just like GWB.

Finally, they are racist and believe the republicans are the party of white people (see gullible).

22. I just thought of two analogies.
First- The 30% are like a battered wife. No matter how many times they get their butts kicked, they will still say that "He loves me."

Second- The same 30% also sound like overly permissive parents. The type who say, "No my little angel."

28. My first thought, too. Halliburton and other huge companies may
garner some allegiance from their employees (the HIGH pay scale employees):*

Or, GoldenRule's reply.......more likely, the number is inflated and it's 10%.
If 10% is more accurate, one question....
Would this (mostly) be the rich & super rich who stand to lose the most with the ousting of our current administration.

Excuse my Morning Rambling, however, I do not believe 30% is correct. Everything else is manipulated...elections are stolen, they leave out whatever they want when they present the budget or expenditures, the casualties in New Orleans or Iraq...why on earth would we believe he still has any approval at all.

We think the common man is in control....we've been manipulated royally and begining to wake up and smell the coffee. Have you ever known a wealthy person not to lay back quietly? These power groups are not going to advertise their influence on our systems. And there is always the wealthy persons or corporations that want the status quo to stay otherwise their coffers will suffer.

21. 30 percent of America is more than enough to raise a million-man army of brownshirt enforcers.
If they were ordered to shoot fellow Americans, I'm sure a good number of them would do so if ordered by their own government.

26. Interesting that at first only 30% of Germans
supported the Nazis and Hitler when he first took total control in 1933. The same percentage! A small percentage of brainwashed "authoritarian followers" (John Dean) can wreak havoc if they get political power - as we've seen here too.

I recently heard a recording of Aldous Huxley's last speech in 1962 where he said that 25% of any given population is highly susceptible to mass hypnosis and mind control techniques. He was only off by 5%.
