Poll question: Is the Nomination Hilary's if she wants it?
Or what are the odds that, assuming that Hilary runs, she'll get the nomination.

1. Small chance.

She voted for the war, and unlike Kerry and Edwards, she still hasn't said it was a mistake. This will be the most important issue and she is on the wrong side of it. If I were to guess who is gonna win, I would go with Obama, but its far too early.

2. She has a chance but she could lose
she has some strong supporters but also many people who don't want her. She will also have lots of $$--but I don't think she is a lock.

3. She no more has a lock than McCain does on the Republican nomination.
It is never a lock. That kind of talk is pundit talk. Remember how the pundits had Dean in and Kerry out before a single primary or caucus was held? I seem to remember a Senator Phil Graham who had a "lock" on the Republican nomination based on the fact that he had 20 million dollars which was way more than anyone else had. If I remember correctly, Phil who? didn't win a single primary.

4. It's going to be a brawl between the progressives and DLC in '08.
I, for one, am looking forward to it. It's past time that the conflict that has existed in Democratic Party for decades be settled.

Hillary is going to face very strong opposition from the left. The "not as bad as the Republicans" wing is going to have a helluva time selling another warmongering "moderate" to the electorate.

5. She will win very easily

The only hope of beating her is Al Gore. Clark destroyed his campaign by being too honest about Iraq. Warner and Feingold have dropped out.

11. Right. Honesty is a real liability.
i don't think she really has a chance. The negatives against her are already way too strong. she wouldn't have a chance in the red states, and the progressives aren't any too happy with her either. Being neither fish nor fowl, her goose is cooked (to mix a metaphor - is it getting close to dinertime?)

8. God, I hope not.
Republican turnout will be 90%. We'll get crushed and go through four more years of hell.

10. It all depends
on how many repugs "change" their designation so they can vote in the dem primaries.

13. Can you get the nomination without winning any states in primaries?
The computer says no.
