Rice's spokesman: She's ready to "devote tremendous energy" to Middle East
'Hard work' is a constant theme of the Monkey Dynasty. All you need to do is to recognize how tought everything is, work hard, hard work, lots of energy, tremendous focus, and everything will be dandy, no matter what competency level is there to begin with.

=====

Washington - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will travel to the Middle East earlier next year in an attempt to reinvigorate negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians, the US State Department said Thursday.

Rice's travel plans were announced one day after a bipartisan panel recommended that Washington launch a broad diplomatic initiative in the Middle East and said that resolving the conflict in Iraq was linked to reaching a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack did not provide details on the timing of the trip, but said Rice would devote a 'tremendous' amount of time addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the coming months.

'I would expect that in the days, weeks, months and years ahead that you are going to see her devote a tremendous amount of energy and a tremendous amount of focus trying to create those conditions, where you can get the two parties together,' McCormack said....

1. More likely, she's bullshit. She wanted to do anything BUT try to work this deal
I hope she has a few careerists left in the department who know the damn region and can step up to the plate. If the mission were to answer most questions correctly regarding Who's Who in the Former Soviet Union, she's the one for that job. But absent giving a lecture on the Russkie's ties to Nassir during the sabre-rattling days of Egypt, she's just not up to speed.

2. Condi is a failure
Any woman who was shoe shopping while NO was drowning is a failure. She has no concept of reality just like the rest of the administration. Let's just hope these coming years go fast.

4. Please, Hasn't She Done Enough?
BTW, nice job with the Lebanon thing. Yeeeeah, enabling the destruction of that country really helped out the pro-American government there. So (*friendly punch in the arm*) just keep on keeping on, 'kay sport?

5. Why wasn't she doing this starting on the day she was.....
appointed to the position? Although I'm not so sure the US, specially this administration, meddling in the Middle East is doing any good. She will be spending a "tremendous" amount of time addressing the Israel-Palestinian conflict. They make it sound as if this conflict just started, yet Bush and Condi have been sitting in their easy chairs watching it continue and maybe wanting it to continue. Resolving the conflict in Iraq was linked to reaching a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, yet the Bush administration started the conflict in Iraq. They make it sound as if the war in Iraq came out of nowhere and Bush had to step in and resolve it, when in fact he was the culprit who started the whole disaster. Sometimes I think Bush, Cheney and Condi live in a world not based on reality, but what they want us to believe is reality and now they are finally coming to the conclusion we are not buying it anymore. The thing they will never admit is they created the monster and they can't fix it. I mourn all the deaths they have caused by their incompetence and lies and now it's time for others to step in and end this horror.

10. at this point she's worthless as tit's on a boar
I don't think she could have done anything as diplomacy is not her forte. We need an Ambassador now more than ever and none in this Mal-administration can fit the bill.

11. The Middle East?
Something happening there that we should know about? Well, I'm sure that Dr. Rice will bring her unique brand of diplomatic expertise to be sure any little fires have enough gasoline to turn into raging conflagrations that funnel even more Treasury money into the pockets of the overrich.

12. Here's the script: Kindasleazy says, "The two parties must have bilateral talks.
They must reach an accord. The United States will not tolerate anything less. Each party must understand what it must do. The President of the United States is confident that the Israelis and the Palestinians will act in accordance with our initiatives, initiatives which no previous President ever thought to put forward. President Bush fully and confidently expects the Israelis and the Palestinians to become role models for a New Democracy in the Middle East, and will accept nothing less."
