Till the day they all die repubs will say that liberals lost the war.
I know, because they are already saying it, and because I remember personally hearing that same tired blame the liberals bullshit when we lost the Vietnam war. Walter Cronkite caused America's humiliating defeat by uttering one sentence.

First, they hate to admit being wrong about anything, and they loathe apologizing, about anything, so they are stuck in their own little trap. There will be no victory parades, no 'mission accomplished' banners flying, no millions of tiny, made in Taiwan flags waving.

So in lieu of that, they have their bitter blaming to soothe their shattered egos. It was the damned liberal cut and runners that snatched victory out of our hands, if only they hadn't gone all wobbly and cowardly, we'd have declared glorious victory for democracy and billionaires and kicked that Vietnam syndrome once and for all by god.

But I'm ready for it, and I will just laugh in their faces and try not to get a tiny little bit of spit on their cheeks when I do it.

3. Or his likeness on Mount Rushmore....
there were Freepers who actually insisted that when this was all over Bush's ugly mug would be carved into Mount Rushmore. I kid you not. I should have saved that thread from FR, I'll be kicking my ass forever for not doing a screen shot of that one. I guess I was laughing so hard at the time that I forgot.
There are usually a number of buildings, airports, schools, highways etc. named after a President when he's served out his term(s). Even his Daddy has the CIA building named after him. Now, who in their right mind is going to name ANYTHING after the idiot bastard son? Anyone? Anyone? The most reviled President in history will be forgotten like yesterday's breakfast. Unless the family or his pals, the Saudis, erect and name some buildings after him, he's destined to be the most forgotten President in American history. As it should be.

4. More forgotten than Chester A. Arthur? I hope not!
The name of B*shit, the monster, the disease, should live forever in infamy for his lies, his murders, and his thefts. He needs to be ranked right up there with Hitler, Stalin, and Mao and NEVER FORGOTTEN, lest his atrocities be repeated.

6. Me? I intend to
just shake my head in pity,

Those who say "liberals lost the war" are doomed to become the new "Flat Earthers".

And pity is all anyone who believes either "Fairy Tale" deserves.

7. Lost the war against Iraq? Good. It should never have been waged.
Lost the occupation? What is the value of an occupation which can't be sustained by the support of the citizens of the country we invaded?

Bush lost when he set his illegal, immoral course. Bush lost the American soldiers' lives. Bush and the republicans lost their battle to destroy our nation's democracy and moral character in their imperious power grab in the wake of 9-11. Republicans lost the trail of -bin-Laden, squandered the coalition of nations brought together to avenge the attacks, and lost the fight to capture and suppress the ones who our government holds responsible for the attacks by cutting-and-running from the hunt in Afghanistan to Bush's diversion in Iraq.

Democrats are going to set themselves to the task of retrieving all Bush has stolen, lost, given away, or squandered because the republicans refuse to govern.

9. They can say it, and we can accept their "verdict" or not.
Me, I choose not to. I know the truth, as do many people here, and around the country. These people do not define me, nor do thay have power over my thoughts.

I know that some people will listen to them, and believe what they say. But I dare say, those people are ones who do not have anyone in Iraq fighting, and/or have never been in combat themselves. But I bet that those who do, know the truth (at least most of them).

We the People are tired of the lies, the death, the maiming, the killing. We the People spoke on November 7th, and I don't care how many times Senator R or Rush Blowhard says it, it does not make it true that "the Democrats lost the war".
