America Defeated. Thanks a lot jr.

That's what the bushes have done to us. They have defeated us. It will be said that bush's war means America has been defeated, as if it were an actual war and the people we were fighting defeated us, as if we surrendered to them.

That's a big lie, among thousands of other big lies. Iraq did not defeat us. We did not surrender to Iraq. That's a fantasy that they've perpetrated and are now stuck with.

Victory. Success. Resolve. Hollow words that used to mean something.

America, if it truly was defeated, was defeated by our own hijacked government, by men named bush, and men working for those men.

So here we are, in defeat. Just fucking great, thanks a lot mr. and mr. bush., thanks a whole fucking lot for the defeat.

1. You know, for the past few days
an old phrase of Richard Nixon's has been ringing in my head:

"A pitiful, helpless giant".

Remember when Tricky Dick used that little gem? Well, that's what Bush has made America.

One can only wonder what he would have thought of Bush's presidency. Would he be glad or sad?

Sad at the state of this country, or glad that finally someone has come along that makes him look good.

I suspect the later.

2. "A pitiful, helpless giant". Yup, that sums it up.
Had Bush done the right thing in Afganistan, completed the removal of the Taliban, captured or killed Osama Bin Laden, and poured in the resources the necessary to bring peace and stability to that troubled country, he might have been considered one of the most successful foreign policy presidents in our history.

Those hawks who have lamented American's wariness of commiting troops overseas since our defeat in Vietnam, should realize that by continuing to follow the policies of a failed president in Iraq, they have just hobbled the same military adventures that they see as the salvation of the free world.

It took many years and several successful military ventures to get the American public's confidence (or is it arrogance) back to the point that they would back a unilateral military invasion of a troublsome country to remove a dictator.

How many more years will have to go by before anyone trusts our government again? Of course from my persepective, skepticism is a good thing.
