1. I think he and Bernard Lewis are equally culpable

whatever grade of culpability you want to assign them. Say you made a scale, with 0 being totally nonculpable (Mahatma Gandhi) and 10 being totally culpable (Dick Cheney), Lewis and Huntington would be in the neighborhood of 8.5.
