My "take" on the Mary Cheney pregnancy

I think liberals should celebrate the fact that a lesbian couple is going to be parents.
I would love to see one of the Gay/Lesbian groups throw the world's largest baby shower.
A "baby watch" should be started (if TomKat can have one, why not Mary?)
Regardless of the messenger--the message is that a child is going to be born to two mothers. Two mothers who will love this child, nurture this child and be everything to this child.
A child simply cannot have too many people that love it.
It is an opportunity to show on a public stage that this SHOULD be acceptable to Americans.
As much as I dislike everything Cheney, I support their decision to be parents.

but it does help our side when we point out their double standard.

Perhaps this child will reject it.

Republican lesbian parents make Jesus cry.

And the beauty is, they too will benefit from it.

First and foremost, I wish her a happy and healthy pregnancy. I also hope the fundies limit the amount of hate mail I know they will send to her and her wife. Ultimately I hope that she reassesses her commitment to the political party that hates everything her family stands for. It's one thing to ignore the hate for the promise of personal success or because mom and dad are republicans, but everything changes once baby makes three.

On a side note, could you imagine having Lynn Cheney for a grandmother? :scared:
