Bush To Baker: "I'M THE DECIDER!!!!"
W.House won't accept all proposals from Baker group

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N08379780.htm

WASHINGTON, Dec 8 (Reuters) - The White House on Friday dismissed former Secretary of State James Baker's appeal that his Iraq recommendations be largely adopted as a whole and said President George W. Bush was considering various proposals for a change in course.
...
"Someone has to get the message to this man," said Nevada Democratic Sen. Harry Reid, soon to be the Senate majority leader, who has praised the work of the Iraq Study Group which issued its report on Wednesday.
...
"I hope we don't treat this as a fruit salad, and say, 'I like this but I don't like that,'" Baker had said.
...
"I think that he is going to digest it, however, and he will take the time that he needs in order to figure out how he wants to move forward."

10. Bush has painted himself into a corner, he is hoping the situation...
in Iraq magically improves.

Or he is waiting for the situation to become so bad that no amount of attention will stop the bleeding? "Okay, you guys do something with this mess." Afterward, he will claim had we followed his course, the situation would have been resolved.

Watch for some political gymnastics.

The man thinks in monolithic monotones.
(Sorry! My redundancy check was overwhelmed by my alliteration activator.)

5. Republican leaders need to meet with Bush and tell him
Edited on Fri Dec-08-06 12:55 PM by Lex

it's over. He can either get with the program or face impeachment.

Not that I think the R's have the fortitude to do that for the sake of our country.

12. Wasn't that what Baker was supposed to do? Next step please...
Some senior Republicans need to tell Bush that if he doesn't change his course, and start taking the situation seriously their next stop will be the offices of House Speaker Pelosi in order to ask her to institute impeachment procedings against Bush and his sneering mentor Dick Cheney.

Maybe that will get the idiot's attention.

The election results didn't get his attention
The Baker report didn't get his attention
His own father bawling like a baby in public didn't get his attention

Maybe a one way ticket to Crawford and the possibility of being indicted for war crimes might turn on one of the few remaining brain cells in his thick skull.

7. One more step to impeachment?
It's as if the Boy King wants to be removed from office. Doesn't the idiot understand that this is a monumental mistake for his administration. That magic number of 67 will be more easily obtained the more Bush ignores reality and the bipartisan suggestions relayed to him.

What...an...ass.

11. Narcissistic sociopaths
never listen to anybody but themselves.

I wonder how the republicans are feeling about at this response?

"I understand that Secretary Baker's comment yesterday about the fruit salad is descriptive, I think, of how they feel about it; however, I don't think the president considers it as any type of food," she said.

"I think that he is going to digest it, however, and he will take the time that he needs in order to figure out how he wants to move forward."

Not a type of food, but he is going to digest it. The time HE needs.
