Candy Crowley/producers cut out Senator calling Bush "criminal."
To be fair, they put "Senator: Iraq Criminal" on screen but they played the entire clip, and when it got to the point of Senator Gordon Smith (R - Too Little Too Late) calling Bush "criminal," they stepped all over it, and cut back to Candy...who could barely contain her smirk. Maybe she didn't realize it was also in big letters underneath her picture. But still...it was pretty funny, and the expression on Crowley's face was so telling.

2. They didn't really "edit it," per se.
It was probably a control room error. They cut back to Crowley before the clip was done, and of course, the last word of the clip is "criminal." But again, watching Candy smirk when she realized what had happened was what made it good...she got to toss her big ol' self on a grenade for her Commander In Chief.

3. Me, too -- I'm surprised it caused such an uproar
As Crowley explained, he said it in a very casual way, not implying any technically "criminal" offense.

4. I just watched and Smith was saying that the soldiers patrol the same streets and
get killed by same IEDs and that it was criminal.

10. Well ,"you are what you eat" as the old saying put it...
Would that be a large expression, or a jumbo expression?

9. They had just played the whole clip all the way through a few minutes before.
That is likely why it was the short version.

11. She needs gastric bypass surgery.
I mean the kind of surgery which would bypass her stories from appearing on CNN. That sure would eliminate the gastric distress brought on here at DU about her Repuke bias.

13. I saw that report. Did anyone else hear her say that
part of the Senator's speech was "screed?" I swear she said that.
