What did it cost? I wonder what kind of money Baker/Hamilton and company made off of this futile mission?

Since it was 'non-binding' it was pointless from the beginning. imho

1. It was supposed to embarras the idiot son back into line....
It never had a chance. B*sh must be compelled to stop. It looks like removal from office by any means possible is America's only choice.

2. I think POPPY called his best friend to "fix this mess" and
the psycho isn't gonna let POPPY tell HIM what to do. He's gonna "move forward and stay the course" come hell or high water!

7. I believe military payroll and supplies comes under Defense funding
What they can stop is the supplemental funding strictly for Iraq. So far over a hundred and fifty billion for this year. This money goes mostly to Contractors and ultimately back into Republican coffers. It should be easy to put the squeeze on...but will they??

6. Yeah, dad put it together to try and give his son a graceful
exit and maybe keep him from being criminally charged. But you're right, this whole thing has been about being a better man than daddy and winning mommy's affection which provides a hugh incentive for Jr. to do just the opposite of the report. In the final analysis this mental case is going to have to be removed from power if we have any hopes of saving the nation.

10. The point was to give a shelter to Dems and Republicans
so neither would need to make a harder choice than saying "We support the recommendations of the Baker-Hamilton commission.

And with that relief in sight no one challenged that under the radar the Royal House of Saud stacked the leadership and the membership in the commission to produce recommendations that it favored.
