Bingaman questions plans to roll back tax breaks for big oil
"The truth is these companies are able to drill wherever they see the best opportunity for their stockholders," he said. "If the tax incentives are changed in ways that cause them to go overseas to drill, I don't know that that's to our advantage. We need to have some hearings and look into it."

Jeff voted for the Bankruptcy Bill, too. He's not the worst we have but sometimes I wonder whether he isn't too concerned about his campaign contributors.

1. Fine
Fine, let the oil companies drill overseas. We don't need our tax dollars going to subsidize their activity. Let someone else's tax dollars line the pockets of the oil companies, they can produce at a lower cost, and we buy at a lower price thanks to someone else's largesse. The oil companies don't create enough jobs to warrant these kinds of tax breaks.
