NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A Jewish school has been hit by hate, and people think the same group of people are also responsible for a robbery at that school.
Rabbi Ben Chait, the Dean of Yeshiva Toras Chaim, said he and a 15-year-old student were outside walking Saturday when a car passed by them and the people inside spewed hateful anti-Semitic comments and threats.
Police think the same group also tried to rob the school. One person has been taken into custody.
"There was some very derogatory remarks and threats made against a student and that concerns me and troubles me," said Chief Linda Loizzo of the North Miami Beach Police Department. "In addition to the theft of the materials, we are looking into additional charges."
"It was clearly anti-Semitic," said Chait. "It wasn't left to anyone's imagination. These guys have hate in their hearts."
