I wish the Dems would stop all the politeness & attack this son of a bitch.
I am growing so weary of waiting for someone to stop bush, I am not interested in being patient while the world burns. I wish our elected Democratic leaders would drop the pretense of politeness and correctness and going through the motions of appearing reasonable with bush and his dangerous maniacs.

Enough already with the go along get along-ism, I want in your face, national crisis Action.

I want a counter attack against tyranny, that's all, stop acting like we want to cooperate with the president like he always says he wants to do with Democrats, basta already.

I want to see Democrats screaming in his ape face till he explodes, I want to see a civil war in the senate, I want to see change, not the same old worn out appeasement and I want to see us take off the gloves and pull out all the punches, no holds barred.

Enough bending and scraping to this asshole, you can't reason with a mad dog.

Look how stupid and disconnected from reality he's become, is it that hard to counteract this maniac and his handlers?

I am just increasingly frustrated that no one seems to understand just how dangerous this situation is, and I wish someone up there in DC shared my unfounded paranoia.

I totally hear you, put so much pressure on him he either resigns or just breaks down blubbering while flinging his own turds at MSM reporters.

4. We'd all like to see that
But I doubt it will happen. The Dem's have had many opportunities to expose these criminals and they always seem to back off at the last minute.

Why is the Bush administration showing no signs of fear or worry? Why are they not showing any signs of good will or sucking up to the Dem's to go easy on them?

They're not worried about any of this, and if recent history is any example of what they have to fear from the Dem's then they'll be just fine.

The Dem's will expose them for cheating, then apologize.

8. Could it be that they've been threatened?!
Are we under threat of a military dictatorship? If so, they must speak up and let the people respond. I feel as though both parties are treating us as though we are irrelevant.

20. Yeah. Threatened with loss of re-election money
When it comes down to it
both parties work for the corporations
who they raise money from

The rest of us effectively suffer taxation without representation.

We need 100% public financed campaigns
and media required to provide free air time
in return for their broadcast licenses

Sure, there's still a few good ones up there
who will work for us when they can, but they
need to raise money too.

21. Wiley, you're right on the money!
Campaign finance is the root of all evil in this democracy. Absolutely nothing will change until we take the profit out of legislation.

Any suggestions as to how to start this process in motion?

24. They're treating us as though we're irrelevant
because we are irrelevant. Unless my name is GE and yours is Halliburton, we are, in fact, irrelevant. The corporations control the government, not us. That needs to change.

5. catchy name that...
... I might be a bit biased though.

support rant:
....and another thing, impeachment is a matter of homeland security. Does anyone here deny that most of the middle east is plenty pissed at America right now? How long have we been saying that bushcon's crimes against humanity over there are fueling terrorism, the kind which may come back and take further bites out of us here? Well isn't America supposed to be a Democracy? So it follows that if we do not impeach the bushwhackers then WE THE PEOPLE will be seen by that same plenty pissed off crowd over there to have condoned bushco's crimes. Does anyone here condone the bastards crimes? Does anyone here expect a pass from the boys in the Middle East because we are members of the Democratic Underground? Has anyone here forgotten 9-11? For the sake of our country, we must impeach this regime before we can try such nobel things like fixin' up the world...

22. To tell you the truth, I think it's going to have to be the military.
Really.

The military is going to have to recognize his delusionary state for what it is, and say, "No. The country's against you and your plans and we're against you. If Congress won't stop you, we'll have to."

I'm not talking military coup, just the military saying, "No, we're not sending more troops. The people voted to get OUT of Iraq, and more troops won't do anything but get more of our kids killed and maimed. No. We're not going."

Who else is going to do it? Congress???? Only Kucinich and maybe a couple of others recognize that defunding is required.

Americans have been getting the shaft from both parties for decades
the rethugs more than dems of course but it's the lesser of 2 evils imo

For most involved Politics is about POWER.

If it wasn't for the progressive wing of the Democratic party
the whole thing would be a pointless waste of time.....

Let's wait until 2007 to make a judgement about how well they have done that.

Yes, the early signs are not positive, but still mixed (there has been talk of reversing MCA and investigating the Phony Anthrax investigation, among other things).

Our boys and girls can't apply the degree of heat needed until the next congress convenes.
He can barely handle the reporters now.
Add some subpoenas and a twice daily public defense of torture, murder, waste, incompetence, and forced poverty as he vetoes everything out of the Congress and I think we'll get the results we need.
