All Presidents Do Good Things and Bad Things
We admire Abe Lincoln for his stance on labor and holding the nation together. We don't care so much for what he did with the free press and habeas corpus.

We admire FDR for getting us through the Depression. That thing with the Supreme Court packing, though ...

We admire JFK for his strength during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and his optimism. That thing with Vietnam, though.

We trash Johnson for that thing with Vietnam. But, the Great Society was a good idea.

We admire Jimmy Carter for his great vision to see where America was headed and attempt to try to divert us from over-reliance on petro-chemicals and credit cards. El Salvador, I'm not so sure about.

I'm sure Gerald Ford did what he thought was best he could do when he was in the Oval office. He really wasn't there long enough to do much damage, and that may be what he's most admired for, if you ask me.

2. Not true
at least not if you consider Bush** to be a pResident. He hasn't done any good things, except maybe eating that pretzel.

5. Give Me 10 Years
And I might find something good that Bush did (besides inspiring the greatest explosion of political art since Nixon).

3. He did plenty of damage
"Oftentimes a pardon can be issued to maintain public order and confidence," Alexander Hamilton counseled from the pages of The Federalist.

Every (R) in power back then thought that grubby hippies with ak-47's were very close to organizing and storming the gates.

4. How bout I don't think the bastard is worth division on the boards
So I will refrain from calling him a head that wasn't worth all the discussion in life, nor now in death.

8. Unless you think we can continue at this pace, then maybe you should
think about getting worked up over two more years with the present situation deteriorating into an erruption of the entire Middle East.

9. Aye
China is debatable, for me, though.

It's been great for the top 5% (free trade) ...

Also, their history of remaining isolated ("foreign devils") wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Right now, they practically own us.
