1. Me. Who are these reporters? They are asking questions Bush & Co would never get.
"Your proposal sounds vague...can you give us specifics?" - Never heard one reporter ask Bush & Co. a question like that.

Tip of the iceberg in terms of a hostile press?

6. He's a Democrat
Of course it's a hostile press. The myth of the liberal bias in press notwithstanding, Dems always get a harder time from the "press". I'm currently unconvinced that there is such an entity that can be bestowed with the term "press" rather than corporate lapdogs unless we look to the internet based independents. There are some worthy journalists there but otherwise, few carry the water in the mainstream.

9. Oh man, these GOP callers are borderline *hilarious*.
It's pretty sad when I know precisely where your entire rant is going once you get five whole words out. Way to hit every cliche and stereotype in the book, Rethugs. :eyes:

14. Those republican callers sounded absolutely unhinged.
They actually just about shut off the lady who was ranting about Mexicans.

3. CNN Miles O' took a real cheap shot

on Edwards today.

He showed a picture of his $3 million Mansion and asked him something like,"How does this square with your talk about helping others that have nothing?"

IMO, the answer Edwards gave him was not strong enough for others to not pound him on it too!

I love Edwards and this made me so mad at O'Brien.
It was a pure set up question.

7. How is that a cheap shot? That's perfectly valid.
Of course, they should ask that of Republicans, too, but that's a valid question, imho.

8. While he was doing go work for the victims of Katrina

IMO, it was a cheap shot.

If he had been eating birthday cake with McCain, that would have been different. :)

16. I'm not an Edwards' fan, but it is a cheap shot
Edwards and his famaily never said they were emulating Mother Theresa. They are rich and have been rich for over a decade or two. I don't know how wealthy they are now, but he was said to have around $25 million in 2004. This came from his work prior to going to the Senate in 1998.

It is reasonable to ask what he has done - and that should be answered by what he has done - not that he has a nice house.

4. I'm Watching, Wouldn't Have Missed It!
John Edwards tells it like it is.... and of course many questions are still out there, but he made a good choice of being in New Orleans and I feel he answered the questions as well or better than many many others.

I especially like his answer regarding his lack of experiences when he stated the OBVIOUS! We supposedly had the best foreign policy team (I don't know who made THAT decision) but he stated that look at the mess THEY have created! He did so without saying out loud that Bush HAD NO experience himself, but was pretty hard hitting on Cheney & Rumsfeld.

He's got MY SUPPORT, but he's had it for a very long time!!

Go, Johnny, Go!!!

10. I Totally Agree With You & I Just Hope We Can Get Off Of The
Hillary Hoopla for a while! I could most certainly go for an Edwards/Obama ticket. I wrote a lot about this last evening, but Edwards has been my pick for a very long time. He may seem small potatoes to some, but I think he's smart and knows what he's doing.

And undoubtedly there will be those right here who are going to be squealing about the "ambulance chasing trial lawyer" tag, but hey ... bring it on! We could do so much worse, and we HAVE!

Looks who is running America into the ground right now????

13. I Would Put Gore First... But He Seems To Be Happy Doing What
he's doing for now. If it comes down to it, and I don't know how Edwards would feel.... I would go for a Gore/Edwards ticket, with the thought that it would give Edwards even MORE experience and a great set-up to become the NEXT President.

But for now... I'm completely behind Edwards!

17. I like Edwards and would like to see him as President but
I felt his appearance and announcement today was flat and too low key. He will need to speed up his campaign to be a winner.

The caller who took a jab at his wife was cold. Would that person be happy if he dumped her and got a new hot chick? I doubt it.

Unfortunately I don't believe that we will get a peoples' President as Edwards or Kucinich would be. We need to end this and all wars immediately. We need to reverse everything that * has done including all his tax cuts. We need health care for all. We need to bring the two AmeriKas together and end poverty. We need to clean up the Katrina mess and help all those victims get their lives back. The list goes on and on.
