PM me, please. I know two decorators, both Repubs. One does a great job, but she is so blinded by the right that I fear my John Kerry sticker on the refrig might rattle her, and I don't intend to take it down. The other is just a jerk and the less she has reason to come into my house, the better.

1. My wife (Nell) is studying to become an interior designer, but
she has had only one class so far. If you can wait a couple of years I am sure she would be happy to help. ;-)

5. My friend's mother is a decorated in Palm Beach County
I have no idea what her politics are, but she did a beautiful job. (There have been magazine layouts to prove it.) I'm surprised that her business is thriving as much as it is in this economy, though that area is super wealthy.

PM me if you'd like her details. (I think she's pretty high end and pricey. Don't know if that makes a difference for your circumstances. And she works mainly in Palm Beach County... Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Juno Beach, etc.)

6. I'm definitely not a prospect for a Palm Beach decorator.
That's pronounced, "Pahlm Beahch." You have to pretend your facelift is on too tight to get it right.

9. Okay....
I have no idea how much those things cost, as I've never had it done to my house. I just know my friend's mother is quite "successful!" So, I assume it'd cost a pretty penny. Good luck with finding someone for your home, though! :)

10. Oh, I have no doubt your friend's mom is extremely good.
That's why I can't afford her. Keep in mind that many Palm Beachers come from New York where people can get obscene amounts of money, just because. :-)

7. Get an INTERIOR DESIGNER - not a "decorator" - BIG DIFFERENCE.
An Interior Designer has years of education and professional experience - ANYBODY can call themselves an "Interior Decorator".

NEVER hire an Interior "Decorator" - they are way overpriced to be just choose fabrics and colors and furniture shopping!

ALWAYS HIRE A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL.
